Binance’s CEO Speaks on Luna
|
After the crippling events of the previous week involving LUNA and UST, Binance’s CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao has revealed Binance’s losses and plans. The exchange had holdings valued at over $1.6 billion in LUNA, now worth a little over $2,000.
However, CZ clarifies his main ask of the Terraform Lab’s team is to compensate retail investors over Binance, making it known he is willing not to be compensated if it means retail users are made whole.

a16z’s 2022 State of Crypto Report

A16z crypto, web3 and crypto vc firm, whose portfolio contains companies such as OpenSea, Dapper Labs and Coinbase, has released their 2022 report on the State of Crypto.
While the entire deck is 50+ pages, there are five key takeaways from the report. The belief we’re in the fourth price-innovation cycle; web3 is better for creators than web2; crypto does have a real-world impact; Eth is leading the pack; everyone who is currently involved in crypto is early.

Decentralised Exchange SpiritSwap’s Domain Hijacked
|
SpiritSwap, a dEx running on the Fantom blockchain, is still trying to work out how an attacker managed to take control of their domain and release a SpiritSwap spoofed phishing site.
The current understanding of the situation is that the hacker managed to socially engineer one of GoDaddy’s employees, allowing them to gain access to the account and modify the DNS settings. Find out SpiritSwap’s next steps and the breakdown of events.
